i bought a collection of guinness tales in a vintage shop for my sister's christmas gift. they were written in 1934 and they are badass. i scanned in the story "there was a little man." click on the picture above to see it enlarged for reading.
also, a moral from another story:
"i dont know dear reader, if you've ever had
the troubles that made poor theophilus bad;
rheumatical twinges
and pain in your hinges
and jaunduce and ague
but allow me to say that the very best way
to banish the lot is a guinness a day."
